Heating Pad For Thrombosed Hemorrhoids

Complications can arise for hemorrhoids, and it is at this point, you should talk to your doctor before the difficulties worsen and become unmanageable. Complications are the reason why you should always keep an eye on the condition of your external or internal hemorrhoids, and look for any visible changes that could indicate the hemorrhoids have moved to a more severe stage.

When blood collects inside of an external hemorrhoid, doctors refer to it as a thrombosed hemorrhoid. A thrombosed hemorrhoid is considered a complication of an external hemorrhoid and should be addressed immediately. A thrombosed hemorrhoid will look dark purple or even reddened. The blood clot can engorge the size of the external hemorrhoid and make sitting and standing even more painful than previous.

A heating pad may not be the best solution on its own for a blood clot that has formed inside of an external hemorrhoid. Using more than one method of relief would be more helpful in alleviating pain.

In combination with an ice pack, you can use alternate hot and cold to help manage pain. A blood clot is incredibly painful, and you should have your doctor examine it, then lance and drain it in a medical setting. Having your doctor do this procedure will prevent the thrombosed hemorrhoid from worsening, bursting on its own, and accumulating an infection.

This exercise helps veins to strengthen, elasticize, and ultimately get rid of hemorrhoids.

This is one of the easiest and fastest ways to get rid of pain and irritation.

You must apply ice packs to the anal region for at least 20 minutes to numb the affected area.

You can repeat this process three times a day to get effective results.

Hemorrhoids Cold Compress / Hemorrhoids Ice Packs

Use of a cold compress is recommended for newly swollen hemorrhoids to stop blood flow to the area and to provide rapid numbing relief. Think of the traditional use of an ice pack for a fresh wound or injury. The cold reduces pain. The cold also shrinks swollen tissue by constricting blood vessels.

Because of these properties, an ice pack or cold compress is a great solution for hemorrhoid pain as well.

There are many kinds of ice packs available for perineum and hemorrhoid support. Purpose-made reusable ice packs with a fabric sleeve will work well for hemorrhoids, but so will a freezer pack placed on your desk chair, so long as you make sure the pack wont ruin any of the chairs materials.

The only use of an ice pack we dont recommend is placing it directly on the skin, as this may be too intense for a swollen hemorrhoid. And while its fine to use an ice pack over your clothes, make sure you opt for light breathable materials instead of thick fabrics like denim so that the cold is actually effective.

Other patients may experience bleeding and pain right after the procedure. The cause is not addressed, so they can appear again.
  • Infrared coagulation It is done by burning a tissue to cease blood flowing to the hemorrhoid. 5 to 6 sessions are needed. Although it is shown in the ads as pain-free, most people do complain about intolerable pain during the procedure. It does not deal with the actual cause, so the hemorrhoids sometimes reappear.
  • Hemorrhoidectomy It is a surgery that cuts off hemorrhoids. Statistics reveal that this type of procedure can be risky. So serious cases are only suggested for this treatment method. A lot of patients have complaints because of the very painful process of recovery, thats the reason why it should be considered as a last resort.
