Stapled Hemorrhoidectomy For Prolapsing Hemorrhoids

With stage I internal hemorrhoids, the hemroids are still in the interior anal canal and protrusion or prolapse has not occurred. Itching may occur in this stage, and the internal hemroids may actually be mistaken for anal fissures.
When internal hemorrhoids reach stage III, they have all the symptoms of the earlier stages with one notable exception: the prolapsed internal hemroids no longer return to their original position on their own. They must be manipulated back into the anal canal manually. This stage of internal hemroids severity is very painful, and requires almost constant treatment for pain.

What To Wear And Bring
On the day of your surgery, wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes and avoid wearing makeup or nail polish. Leave all valuables, including jewelry, at home.
Make sure you bring your driver’s license, insurance card, and a list of your medications.
If you are staying overnight in the hospital, pack a bag the night before your surgery.
In addition to personal care items and comfort items , be sure to pack:
- Any medical devices you use

Hemorrhoid suppositories are usually used after every bowel movement or up to 6 times daily. However, since dosage can differ from one case to the next, following your doctors prescription would be the best guide as to how many times you should use this form of medication.
