Bleeding external hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids these days can be caused to a human being of any age, group or sex. It is basically a life style related disease and a person has to pay a huge price only for being careless about his health, hygiene and personal life. This disease is common because lot of people today are running the rat race and in the due course are not able to keep up with their health knowingly or unknowingly. They don’t even bother about those initial indications of bad health, thinking that they will automatically heal by themselves. This mistake aggravates the situation even more.

Hemorrhoids are lumps of flesh in which the veins linking between the anus and the rectum are embedded. These lumps are swollen and red in color. They can cause severe to moderate itching, irritation and pain. Most severe hemorrhoids can bleed either intermittently or profusely depending on the intensity of irritation.

Hemorrhoids can be caused due to several reasons. One of them is dietary habits. People eating too much of spicy food, consuming excess of alcohol and excessive smoking are not comfortable during defecation because their stool becomes hard. The hard stool damages the internal lining of the rectum and the anus known as mucosal lining which is extremely delicate in nature. The ruptures and fissures so produced are the precursors of hemorrhoids. Blood pressure on the other hand causes an increase in itching and irritation. Hemorrhoids are of two types depending on their location. If they are located outside the anal opening they are known as external hemorrhoids and if inside them are called internal hemorrhoids. External ones are less dangerous than internal ones because their early detection is always possible and easy to cure due to their location.

Bleeding external hemorrhoids can be a cause of concern to any person. The time and place of these bleeding lumps of fleshes is not fixed, they can start bleeding at any time or at any place. Imagine the embarrassment which can be caused if one is not aware about his stained pants or skirt with these hemorrhoids. But if these external ones are treated regularly they can always be brought under control and stop from bleeding.

There are various treatments available commercially like herbal creams and ointments which should be used after consulting a doctor. To stop them from bleeding every day one can revert to an old and traditional method known as Alexander’s technique which refines the life style of a human being in almost every aspect. It teaches what kind of postures should be maintained at all times. One should turn towards better eating habits and always include whole grains and cereals in the daily diet along with vegetables and fruits. They contain a lot of fiber which eases the bowel movements and also softens the stool. Drinking a lot of water and fruit juices is a very healthy habit, because fluids too soften the tissue to a great extent and ease the passage of stool thus reducing the bleeding of hemorrhoids. If they still go out of control one can use those adult diapers while moving out of the house.
